Claudia and Alex Schenz immigrated with their daughter Julia to NZ in 2000 and after finishing the new, purpose build house; they opened Alegria Beautyfarm in 2001.
Claudia brings a wide spectrum of professional and personal experience with her. With many years in the hospitality and medical industries, working on exhibitions, as a tour guide and having traveled extensively. Trained in Germany, Claudia has now worked for over 10 years in her capacity as a beauty and spa therapist – specialising in a holistic approach to work on clients’ needs and conditions.
For over 5 years Claudia has continued to widen her knowledge and explored studies in healthy nutrition and her philosophy is ‘you are what you eat’. She considers food as nature’s natural medicine and she concludes that overall health and well-being requires a holistic approach to strengthen body, mind, heart and soul.
Alex holds a PHD in agriculture/marketing and after spending most of his working life in the food industry in Germany, this was also where he felt comfortable being employed in New Zealand, as a Manager for the NZ export industry.
Here at Alegria Beautyfarm he is the property manager, pool man, technical service and just ‘The Man’ who can fix -nearly- everything.
